All participants must register

The program runs from our Opening Kickoff Celebration on Monday, June 26 through our Closing Party on Thursday, August 17.
Students entering grades 6-12 are eligible.They can enroll online, in person or by phone in order to participate.

YA Summer Reading Rules


1. Read: Anything you want - books, e-books, magazines, newspapers, graphic novels, etc.


2. Earn: Earn a raffle ticket to enter the prize basket(s) of your choice for each of the following:

  • Complete 20 minutes of reading

  • Record the title of a book you finished reading this summer

  • Turn in a completed book review

  • Register and attend any of our YA programs

  • Help build a better world by doing something for your community  1 hour = 1 ticket

  • Use a medium of  your choosing to create a picture, painting, essay, video, etc. about what  this year’s theme  means to you

3. Win: Everybody who registers for the YA Summer Reading Program is already a winner! The winners of the prize baskets will be drawn at the closing program.

Some of our events include: Minecraft Challenge 2017, So You Think You Know Anime, Introduction to Robotics, and BeatBox 101.

Close Encounters with Birds is a program for the whole family.
